According to leading researcher, Dr. Robert Johnson, “Sugar activates its own pathways in your body—those metabolic pathways become “upregulated.” In other words, the more sugar you eat, the more effective your body is in absorbing it; and the more you absorb, the more damage you’ll do.
You become “sensitized” to sugar as time goes by, and more sensitive to its toxic effects as well.
The flip side is, when people are given even a brief sugar holiday, sugar sensitization rapidly decreases and those metabolic pathways become “downregulated.” Research tells us that even two weeks without consuming sugar will cause your body to be less reactive to it.

Spring is the perfect time to Change the habit of being yourself…
Tired of the same old you showing up every day? True health begins on the inside…which is what we specialize in at BFHC. I just returned from an advanced training with Dr. Joe Dispenza (pictured right) who teaches people how to create radical health in the midst of chaos. My experiences over the years with him have opened up new possibilities that allow me to go further with each of you. I could rightly be retired by now, but I just keep on learning cutting-edge healing modalities.
Watch my interview with Dr. Dispenza where I asked him to comment on the concept that dyslexia could be reversible. Note: it’s not just dyslexia that can be reversed. CLICK HERE For VIDEO
Also I highly recommend you order his book and/or CD below in the Resource section. By the way, he has a new book coming out in April called, “You are the Placebo” talking about the mind-body connection in illness and therapies.
You are not doomed by your genes and hardwired to be a certain way for the rest of your life. A new science is emerging that empowers all human beings to create the reality they choose. Renowned author, speaker, researcher, and chiropractor Dr. Joe Dispenza combines the fields of quantum physics, neuroscience, brain chemistry, biology, and genetics to show you what is truly possible. I also recommend Meditations CD–Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.

No, not robots; the kids that transform in a good way from participating in the Books Neural Therapy!
If your child is starting Books Neural Therapy (BNT), I wrote this article to help you know what to expect.
Research shows that most people that want a personality change or want to be more successful think they need to consider what aspects of their “old self” they want to change, distinguish what it is they want to emulate and then try to change their attitude to be more positive, confident, and decisive. In other words, take action and effort the change! How does that work with our kids?
Some parents that are worried or unsatisfied about their child’s academic, social or emotional behavior are unsure what to do to change that behavior so they cajole, bribe, or set negative consequences to try to make their child change; some just worry and fret, and love, love, love. Others have been to treatment after treatment with their child with little improvement. Effort? Lots!
Often parents come to Books Neural Therapy (BNT) hoping for a change in their child because one of their friends or acquaintances has seen their own child emerge with better strategies for academics; less ‘efforting’, more confidence, more relaxed social skills, being in better touch with their feelings with an ability to express them.
When I first begin the evaluation session for a student starting BNT, some are not sure why they are at our office and some say they are there to improve their reading. It is often said in a tone of shame or remorse for not being better; they are already measuring themselves and making sure I know they may not do well. Sometimes skin color is poor and energy levels are low. Once I begin testing, I hear, “I can’t do that”, “I don’t know how to do that”, “I’m not good at….”, lots of sighing, or tense effort to write and come up with answers on the academic and motor pre-evaluations.
I don’t ‘fall’ for it because I know there are some blocks in the way that will get dissolved during BNT that cause a child to bloom ‘into their own’. It’s exciting! READ MORE

Transforming as a Parent Beside a Changing Child
By Rosita Alvarez
As a parent seeking to improve the life of my son, I journeyed through many stages of healing along his side. I passed through an entire spectrum from denial all the way to liberation thanks to Books Neural Therapy.
Yes, Denial was first. By six, I knew he was smart as he could memorize oral lessons effortlessly and repeat long poetry out loud. He could draw superbly and tell creative stories with funny imagination– better than most his age, yet he could not at all understand his letters phonetically as symbols of sounds or in writing…READ MORE

“The first miracle I witnessed was with my grandson Luke, who was 14 at the time. He had flunked two grades. I know he was trying, because I spent hours and hours tutoring him. After Dr. Books worked with him, his walk went from pigeon-toed to straight, he grew and he could read fluently!!
I felt her work was too good to be kept a secret. I started bringing her out to California a week a month to treat patients. Once my store (Viking Men’s Shop) sold, I decided to dedicate the next ten years of my life to helping her get this work out. Children are the key to our future. It makes me feel good to be able to help children get a better chance in life, thanks to Books Neural Therapy™.”
